Your ARC Medispa Dermal Therapist will develop a personalised skin regime and treatment program for you, which may include skincare products, light & laser therapies and other Dermal Treatments such as Microdermabrasion, Prescription Peels, Medical Skin Needling and Medi Facials. If required, you may also be referred to an ARC Cosmetic Physician for injectables such as fillers, wrinkle relaxants and volume enhancers. ARC Medispa also offers pre- and post-operative skin maintenance, to assist patients who have chosen surgery, to achieve and sustain the best possible results.
Microdermabrasion is a safe, painless, deep exfoliation which will improve your skin’s texture, refine your pores, and increase the lymphatic drainage of your skin. It is an effective, medical grade treatment for various skin conditions including acne, sun damage, dull or rough skin, pigmentation, and blackheads, and can be used on the neck, back and hands as well as face. Microdermabrasion can also be used as a pre-treatment for many other dermal procedures.
Microdermabrasion is performed by a trained dermal therapist in the clinic, and takes approximately 60 minutes. Prior to the treatment, your face will be thoroughly cleansed. A gentle vacuum will then bring your skin in contact with a diamond-coated head or crystals, which will be passed over the treatment area multiple times, abrading the top layer of dead skin. Following the procedure, the Dermal Therapist will apply serum to your skin, which will feel noticeably soft and smooth.
Microdermabrasion requires no down time, though some mild, temporary redness may occur. Whilst a change may be visible immediately, a course of six to ten treatments over several weeks is required to achieve the optimal result.
Prescription peels offer an effective, in-clinic means of regenerating and resurfacing your skin. A peel will remove the top layers of your skin, helping to stimulate the remodelling of the collagen, and is an excellent treatment for congested, impure and dehydrated skin. Chemical peels reduce sun damage and skin pigmentation, and improve the overall texture and appearance of your skin.
We have a variety of skin peels that may be customized to treat a range of skin types and skin problems, from acne to anti-ageing. These peels include a variety of exfoliating, regenerating and free radical combating ingredients, such as Lactic Peel, BHA Peel, Pyruvic Acid, L-Ascrorbic Acid and Vitamin A.
Prescription peels also vary in strength from superficial, medium to deep, according to the level of skin they reach. Deeper peels will result in a greater improvement to the skin, though the recovery period will be longer.

Dermaroller
In skin needling, a medical roller is used to pierce the upper layers of the skin, ‘micro wounding’ the area, and releasing your skin’s own natural growth factors. These growth factors stimulate the tightening and regeneration of the skin, reducing scarring and wrinkles. An anaesthetic cream is applied prior to the treatment, and the needling is performed using fully disposable materials, a single use roller, and sterile technique.
Initially, you will need a consultation to assess the condition of your skin and decide which roller treatment is suitable for you. Two to three weeks of preparation, a course of up to three treatments, and a post-care regime is required to achieve the best results.
A Medi Facial improves the texture and appearance of your skin, and addresses issues such as sun damage, ageing and congestion. Your treatment will begin with a deep cleanse, exfoliation and steam, and conclude with the application of antioxidant serum, a moisturizer and sun protection. Your skin will be left feeling noticeably refined, hydrated and supple, and you will feel relaxed and refreshed.
