Light & Laser Therapies

Syneron eMax

Over the past 10 years, laser technology has revolutionised the options available for people seeking improvement in their skin. Now, through the laser, light, radio frequency and ultrasonic therapies available at ARC, there are safe and effective treatments for many types of skin concerns, including wrinkles, lax skin, unwanted hair, vascular lesions and skin pigmentation. ARC Medispa uses only medical grade laser technology, combining laser, IPL (Intense Pulse Light) and radio frequency.

Your ARC Dermal Therapist will conduct a full assessment of your needs and skin type, and create a treatment solution tailor made for you.

Laser treatment is conducted in the room without the need for anaesthesia, and usually with no or minimal down time. Deeper treatments sometimes create swelling due to the energy effect, and if this is likely it will be discussed before treatment. Whilst a difference may be noticeable immediately, most treatments require a number of sessions to achieve the optimum result.

Matrix RF

Laser fractional skin resurfacing is an innovative treatment used for the ablation of the skin. The procedure focuses energy deep into the dermis to improve skin texture and skin abnormalities such as acne scars, pore size, fine lines and wrinkles.  Optimum results require a course of several treatments.

Acne

Laser is an effective aid for acne in conjunction with medical treatment. You will first need to consult with your GP or ARC Cosmetic Physician to eliminate hormonal issues. If indicated, laser acne treatment works by directing light and radio frequency to the sebaceous glands in the skin, reducing inflammation and causing them to secrete less sebum. Laser treatment for acne may be used in conjunction with other treatments such as microdermabrasion and peels.

Skin Rejuvenation

Skin rejuvenation treatment uses the combination of laser, light and radio frequency technology. It can be used to address a range of skin concerns, including skin pigmentation, uneven skin tone and texture, pore size, age spots, skin laxity, wrinkles, rosacea, fine visible vessels, scarring and sun damage. The skin rejuvenation applicators heat the target tissue, causing collagen remodelling, and leading to an overall improvement in skin texture. The treatment is effective on such areas as the decolletage, face, hand and neck.

Hair Reduction

Laser treatment offers a fast, and effective solution for unwanted hair on the face or body for both men and women. ARC Medispa has a choice of IPL and laser hair removal technology, allowing your Dermal Therapist to select the most appropriate for your skin and hair type. Laser treatment for hair removal works by using light and radio frequency to heat up and destroy the hair follicles. The light and radio frequency are combined in one pulse for a safer and more effective treatment. Please note that laser hair removal works best on pigmented hair, and blonde, grey and red hairs do not respond as well.

Veins

Laser treatment is used to diminish visible blood vessels, capillaries and spider veins on the face and body with the latest radio frequency and light technology. The haemoglobin in the vessels are heated up with little or no effect on surrounding tissues. As a result, the blood and the vessel wall coagulate and are gradually reabsorbed by the body. The vessels are treated in a number of sessions to achieve the best results.

Skin Tightening

A loss of collagen and elastin in the skin creates lines, wrinkles and sagging. Laser treatment for skin tightening uses a combination of infrared light and radio frequency to create deep dermal heating. This stimulates the collagen fibres, which leads to collagen remodelling, which gradually improves the sagging of skin in the jowls, neck and cheeks.

Wrinkle Reduction

Laser treatment for wrinkle reduction directly targets the fine lines, wrinkles and sagging skin which occur as part of the ageing process. A combination of laser and radio frequency technology safely and effectively stimulate the production of collagen in the dermis, leading to collagen remodelling and a significant improvement to the skin on the face and neck.
